Euboea (Evia),  is the second largest Greek island in area and population, after Crete. It is separated from the mainland of Greece by the narrow Euripus Strait.

The municipality of Histiea - Edipsos is located on the northern tip of the island of Evia and is adjacent with municipality of Mandudi - Limnis -Ag. Annas. It consists of eight districts, covering an area of 122.6 square kilometers. and has a total population of 4167 inhabitants.
The city of Artemision is the most tourist of the island of Evia.
Vasilika belongs to the municipality of Artemision 97chlm from Chalkis and 32km from Istiaia. The village lies on the side of Evia island facing the Aegean Sea, opposite of the Sporades islands Skopelos and Skiathos.
